VAPE

#ENTER THE LIFE OF SMOKERS

Vaping can be defined as the act of inhaling water vapor through a personal vaporizer (the vaper’s tobacco-free version of the traditional cigarette). Vaping is an alternative to smoking.

People vape for many reasons. People vape because they are trying to quit smoking cigarettes, like the flavor of the vapor, or, like me, find it an interesting topic. On this blog, I will break down this entire topic, piece by piece. I will explain all the technical terms, explain the process of building a mod, and review different pieces of vape equipment. If you are as serios about vaping as I am, you’ll love this blog!

A vape pen, also known as an e-cigarette, uses a battery and coils to heat up e-juice into a vapor that can be inhaled. Many people confuse vapor with smoke; it is not smoke. Early models of vape pens looked like cigarettes, but now they come in all different shapes, sizes, and produce different amounts of vapor.

A vape pen works by burning oil, an e-juice, into a vapor that can be inhaled. The typical, cheap, vape pen consists of a clearomizer and a battery. A clearomizer consists of wicks and a coil. When putting an e-juice into a clearomizer, it is absorbed by the wicks which are connected with the coils. Pushing the trigger button causes the battery to fire, heat up the coils, which causes the e-juice on the wicks to turn into the vapor that can be inhaled.

There are a lot of e-juices out there. At first, it can be difficult to find an e-juice that suits you best. The main ingredients of e-juices are usually a mix of propylene glycol (PG), glycerin (G), and/or polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG400), sometimes with differing levels of alcohol mixed with concentrated or extracted flavorings. That is only a concern when you need a specific e-juice thickness, which won’t matter with your average vape pen. What concerns the main majority of vapers, is the nicotine concentration. The nicotine concentration in e-juices range from 0 to about 50mg. People who are vaping to quit smoking seem to struggle picking the right nicotine strength. I’ll give you a basic idea on how to figure it out on your own:

Let’s say an e-juice has 12mg of nicotine in it. That means that you are consuming 12mg of nicotine for every ml of e-juice you vape. How does that help you pick out the right strength of nicotine if you are trying to quit smoking? Well on cigarette contains approximately 9mg of nicotine. Depending on how many cigarettes you smoke, and how often, you may want a lower strength or a higher strength. With this basic knowledge, picking out an e-juice should be a lot easier.

With this explanation of vaping, hopefully you all decide to explore this topic further. There is so much more to vaping. There is a whole, more technical side to vaping if you get serious about it. Stcik around as I dive further into the subject!
